Laura Reiley from the
Tampa Bay Times was a guest on
970 WFLA this morning with Jack, Ted and Corey discussing how to get free food in Tampa Bay. Her entire segment is available on podcast
HERE. For those who don't want to listen to it, however, here are some of the highlights:
1. Publix is the best place to sample food. You can get a free cookie for your kids in the bakery, sample deli meats and cheeses at the deli and then try a little plate of food at the Apron's station if they are cooking when you visit.
2. Sam's Club, Costco and BJs has folks on the weekends sampling miscellaneous foods.
3. Fresh Market is Laura's pick for wine tastings.
4. Baksin Robbins is the best place for free samples of ice cream. Jack chimed in that Pinkberry is another great option and Laura added Yogurtland on Dale Mabry is a good choice.
5. For free bottles of water your best bet is the UPS store in Wesley Chapel.
