IKEA, the innovative and inexpensive furniture store, also has innovative and free kids activities.
IKEA Tampa Kids’ Academy features free activities, free meals and a free IKEA Tampa Kids’ Academy T-shirt for kids under 12 years old.
Activities last 20 minutes and start at 11 a.m., then repeat at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The scheduled activities include “cooking,” crafts and more. Parents take note, several of these dates fall during the Hillsborough County spring break and would be an excellent way to entertain the kids on a dime!
March 12 - Welcome spring in Swedish style by making PÃ¥skris (twigs decorated with colorful feathers).
March 13 - Meet McGruff the Crime Dog and learn safety tips from Tampa Police Department.
