HOT 101.5 Thanksgiving Eve Party at Hard Rock Tampa Pool and Hard Rock Cafe on Nov. 21

WHAT: HOT 101.5 poolside party followed by a night of dancing at the Hard Rock Cafe. DJ Ekin performing poolside followed by DJ Five in the Hard Rock Cafe spinning the night away. Must be 21 and up.

DJ Ekin, of the Bronx, New York, began his craft with a set of turntables given to him by his father. Known widely as “Tampa’s Most Connected DJ,” he has worked with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and Justin Timberlake. He can be heard on WPOI HOT 101.5 every morning for the “HOT Morning Mix” at 6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. and again at 10 p.m. for the “10 o’clock HOT Mix.” DJ Ekin is also the host of Tampa Bay’s Flip TV, which is a weekly countdown show of the area’s best talent on MyTV Tampa Bay.

Groomed in one of the epicenters of turntables, Cerritos, Calif., it was a simple task for DJ Five to rise to the top in Las Vegas. With DMC-caliber skills, impeccable mixing, a vast knowledge of music and a love for hip hop that has spanned decades, DJ Five has emerged as a household name in Sin City’s burgeoning nightlife industry. He was voted “#1 DJ” in 2004 by Las Vegas Life Magazine and has played across the nation.

COST: Poolside: Free Admission

Hard Rock Cafe: Admission is free with pool wristband from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. After 12:30 a.m., entry fee is $5 for ladies and $10 for men.
