Festival of Trees is a Clearwater tradition, in which more than 100 artistically decorated Christmas trees signify the opening of the Christmas season. There are also wreaths, centerpieces and of course trees ranging from 2-footers to more than 7 feet tall on display at the The Long Center. Clearwater's own Dean Young (son of Blondiecartoon creator Chic Young, who took over the 'toon after his father died) has created one-of-a-kind artwork featuring Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead for this year's event. It runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Long Center, 1501 N Belcher Road, Clearwater.

Free HIV & STD Testing 12/2/11

The Hillsborough County Health Department will offer free HIV and STD testing on Friday, December, 2, 2011 in honor of the 7th Annual World Aids Day from 7a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at their downtown clinic.
Attendees will receive free educational classes, free condoms and free info from community partners.

Attention!! Your taste buds and opinions are needed at Irish 31. We invite you, our neighbors and iSociety loyalty members, to our wine tasting, tonight, November 7th at 6 pm. Based on community feedback, we are tweaking our wine menu and will be having over 50 wines available for you to taste for free this Monday. After tasting the wines, we will collect your feedback and this will allow us to form our wine list based on what you want. Irish 31 wants to be the “people’s pub” and this is one way for you to make sure that happens.
